1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Custom Classic
The last of the full sized Cadillac's.
This one came with the glass bronze tinted sunroof which makes it one of 475. There were only 2000 made total so you may have never seen one. This one was ordered with just about everything except the "new" electronic tune CB/Stereo radio. It also came with the 30 spoke chrome plated mags, rare because they cracked and were replaced years ago with the honey comb mags at the dealer. This one is wearing its original mags restored by Socal Wheels riding on Coker reproduction original 1.6" whitewalls. The replacement honeycomb wheels with new caps and lugs go with it too. It is original down to it's 8 track radio and two dealer demo tapes, with a hidden CB added that was put in with only one small hole in the firewall, the rest used existing screws so it can be removed without leaving a mark.
For anyone that remembers the old FM radios and what a pain they were to use because of drift, this one has a 10 disc CD player in the trunk that plays through the stock radio. Eight track still works, but it sounds off speed and it is only a mater of time before it eats a tape and makes a big mess, so I never use it. A/C was restored with a new compressor and drier several years ago because of a shaft seal leak, and the original R12 was reinstalled so it cools great. Carb was tuned, distributor was rebuilt, and true duel exhaust was installed(after the original head pipes cracked) with flowmaster 40s, runs nice even on E10. Air ride works fine with newer shocks. Master cylinder was replaced and the hydro booster was resealed but it still seeps a little P/S fluid when it sits. All other brake parts are original.
It has 56,000 miles on it.
I also have just about every piece of dealer promo paper on it including the announcement postcard, and all the delivery paper including the original order worksheet. Included in the sale are all the original service and parts books, makes it much easier to find parts if you have the original GM part number.
$12,000 OBO
